The next Heavy Chef Session is in Johannesburg: "Youth Marketing - Where Are We and What Has Worked Before"
The youth market has always been a tough nut to crack. Fickle. Trend conscious. Unpredictable. Notoriously outspoken. So, how can we reach ‘em? We’ve asked some leaders in the field of Youth Marketing to come and share some insights with us. Part One: Painting a Picture of Today's Youth August’s Heavy Chef Session will firstly focus on painting a picture of the youth, where they’re heading and how technology fits into their lives, backed up by solid, well-researched stats and insights. Part 1 of the Session will be a holistic overview, presented by Jane Lyne, MD Youth Dynamix, and Andrea Kraushaar, Youth Strategy And Research Director at Youth Dynamix. Both Jane and Andrea bring a wealth of experience around youth marketing. Part Two: Successful Case Studies using Technology to Target the Youth Then, we’ll look at some case studies for using social networking and mobile to engage with youth. Part 2 will be a practical close-up of what’s worked, and what lessons can we learn in order to reach a youthful audience. This part of the session will be presented by Marc Kornberger: Managing Partner at Student Village. Marc co-founded Student Village and has seen it rise from an ambitious project 8 years ago to a bustling online community of over 120 000 members. The Johannesburg Session is going to be held in JWT's entertainment room (on the third floor) in Rivonia. If you'd like to join us, please email Yolandi (click here) or phone the studio at 0861 932226. Venue: JWT Building, cnr Rivonia & 12th ave, Johannesburg. There are 50 seats available, on a first-come first-serve basis. The venue will be provided by Youth Dynamix, wine by Perdeberg and the beer by Corona (with Carlsberg a tasty new addition to our sponsor list). And, for those non-alcohol drinkers, we're proud to announce that Glaceau Mineral Water will also be present. Check out the new Heavy Chef website... It’s a real challenge keeping these newsletters short, since there are a bunch of things happening at The Heavy Chef Project. So…the easiest thing to do is to use bullet points for easy digestion:
We'll be back shortly to inform you about future sessions (btw, the next Cape Town Session is happening in September). Keep reading the blog for updates, watch the videos, and thanks for all the support so far. All the best, |
